Feel seen, feel valued, feel you.
I believe that at the root of each of our individual selves is the desire to be and feel seen and valued for who we are - completely.
There are many societal, historical, and familial barriers to this and I believe that looking introspectively at these obstacles and what is at the root of our presenting issues can greatly affect our well-being.
I specialize in working with:
Individuals struggling with self-criticism, shame, low self-esteem and self-worth, including perfectionists, workaholics, people-pleasers & over-thinkers
Youth/Adolescents navigating coming out, puberty, life transitions, and/or the stress of academic and social pressures
Individuals who seek support around better understanding their identity, their patterns, and “why they are the way they are” - usually looking into childhood and past relationships as a main source
Individuals suffering from depression & anxiety
Couples and partnerships working on communication skills, conflict resolution & navigating big life transitions
LGBTQIA+ adults, adolescents and couples
Family planning, infertility, parenting, and queer conception
My approach
I put an emphasis on the working relationship between client and clinician. This allows me to have a warm, interactive, strength-based and client-centered approach using a variety of modalities. In my work with youth, I also gained experience and insight into the patterns we fall into as children/young adults (based on a multitude of events or traumas in our lives) and how these can later have an effect on our adult selves. I believe that bringing awareness to these patterns and unpacking their origins can be incredibly helpful.
I also bring a queer, feminist, trauma-responsive, and culturally sensitive/curious lens to all the work I do.
